拥有2000万人口的印度首都新德里,每年的11月都会进入一个空气污染严重、危害身体健康的季节。今年这个指标达到了峰值,据说数字可能达到惊人的2507,超出了检测仪的最大量程999(999呼吸一天等同于抽32根烟),在这样的环境下生活,很容易引起呼吸道和心血管疾病,甚至会死亡。印度相关部门启动了应急预案,建设停工、学生放假、单双号限行等措施。但实际上此次空气污染,很大的比重是焚烧秸秆和排灯节燃放烟花爆竹引起的,当地的宗教、社会等等因素,让这部分污染源难以有效治理。

I was sleeping outside on the roof on my khat, then one night I realised breathing was much harder, I was sneezing alot, and that the air was thicker.
